"Social Fitness Gym" immediately brought a smile to my face, and a longing to my heart - yes!! We are working on building these at VillageCo.org - we also call them places of practice. Need more local connection in our lives! Thanks for raising this issue & supporting the many Social Connectors creating these gyms all around the country!
Amazing! Thank you for sharing Jason - I'd love to join a gathering next time I'm in Boise. I wonder if some of the resources at Weave might be of use? https://weavers.org/join/ Cheering you on! 👏
Thanks Kasley! I'm a member of the Weavers network - I attend their weekly community hour as often as I can. A great org - met lots of amazing people there. Thanks for the cheers! We have found an abundance of support and resources for this journey. Please do reach out when you are in the area!! jason@villageco.org
Working at a coworking space has been tremendously helpful for my social health. So many organic opportunities to get to know folks in my community, both personally and professionally!
Something of a mix! Most of the day-to-day interaction is organic (think: small talk as you're heating up lunch), though we occasionally program things more intentionally, like member breakfasts, happy hours, community clean-ups, etc. Last Monday, we had viewing glasses out for the eclipse and we all got to watch that as a collective!
Hi Kalsey - I commented last month and mentioned CONNECTIONS Central. We would be considered a Social Fitness Gym. www.connectionscentral.org. We would love to schedule at time to speak with you and share with you the many ways we have been enriching lives through meaningful conversation, guided story-sharing and face-to-face interaction. I do not know how to reach you directly. My email is lisa@connectionscentral.org.

Love that, Haley! Out of curiosity, does your coworking space facilitate/structure interaction or does it mostly happen organically?
